We are delighted to announce funding for our Climb for Success programme, kindly received from Cheshire’s police and crime commissioner, Dan Price.
Climb for Success will be a 12-week course working with young women who need help to realise their potential. This will be done through various personal development activities, including the use of our climbing wall.
We will also be offering access to universal sessions at the Youth Zone, a hot meal and our Youth in Mind programme.
The funding will enable us to help and support vulnerable and at-risk young women, and encourage them to ‘climb for success’ here at Warrington Youth Zone.
Dave McNicholl CEO of Warrington Youth Zone, said: ‘We are delighted to be working closely with the police and crime commissioner, Dan Price.
“It was a pleasure to show him around the Youth Zone and explain the incredible support that we have received from Cheshire Police since opening the Youth Zone in July 2022.
“The funding from the office of the police and crime commissioner will allow us to support girls and young women with developing skills, knowledge and most importantly confidence as they become qualified climbers.”
