Mental Health Online Support Worker - Youth In Mind
Job Title: Mental Health Online Support Worker - Youth In Mind
Hours: Fixed term until May 2025; 40 hours per week

THE ROLE
The Mental Health Online Support Worker for ‘Youth In Mind’ will support the Targeted Team in delivering an effective, structured wellbeing programme to children and young people from across Warrington.
You will be responsible for working on our Youth In Mind Online Mental Health programme, offering 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions to young people requiring a high level of support as part of a drop-in and referral service.
You will be required to triage young people’s needs in order to signpost them to an appropriate service, either internally within the Youth Zone or to an external provider.
You will be responsible for the management of a cohort of young people and their volunteer mentors. You will match young people with appropriate mentors and manage the mentoring relationship they share.
This role involves working in an innovative and creative way in order to engage young people and proactively support their development both online and throughout the mentoring process to achieve positive outcomes outlined by the ECM framework.
Young people will be referred to the Youth In Mind Online Mental Health programme from a number of external agencies. This post requires a multi-agency approach involving consistent, regular communication with all professionals involved with the young person in order to meet their needs and improve their outcomes effectively.
Meeting targets as outlined by funders, contracts and the Mental Health Lead is a significant element of this role to ensure the quality of support young people and their mentors receive to achieve outcomes.
This post involves a commitment to the completion of all relevant paperwork, reports and recording processes ensuring they are both accurate and timely.

Job Title: Targeted Youth Work & Family Support Manager
Hours: 40hrs Full-time
Salary: £27,000 - £33,500 (depending on experience). Fixed term contract until Match 2025

THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Warrington Youth Zone for an experienced manager/co-ordinator with a strong motivation to support positive outcomes for vulnerable children, young people, and families from across Warrington.
Working alongside our Head of Youth Work and other Youth Work Managers, you will make a significant contribution to thousands of local children and young people by managing our Targeted Programmes, taking direct co-ordination of our Family Support Programmes, which include:
- Cadent Centre for Warmth & Energy Efficiency Scheme
- Foundations – holistic activities and training for parents and carers
- Christmas Family Support Schemes
You will also provide line-management to the staff team (currently 4 staff members) who deliver our other Targeted Programmes:
- Emotional Health & Wellbeing
- SEND Support
- Preparation for Adulthood
You will have responsibility for ensuring that WYZ’s Targeted Programmes are delivered to the highest possible standards by effectively managing and supporting the Targeted Staff Team, delivering your own programme of Family Support Services, and working with the organisation and the community to develop new programmes of support.

Working alongside our existing Head of Grants & Contracts, you will make a significant contribution to securing a legacy for thousands of local children and young people through the generation of new income.
You will have responsibility for researching grant opportunities, preparing and writing applications, and reporting back to our funders on the difference their grants have made.

The Youth In Mind mental health support worker will be key in supporting the Targeted Team in delivering an effective, structured wellbeing programme to children and young people from across Warrington.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working on our Youth In Mind programme, offering 1:1 wellbeing sessions to young people requiring a high level of support as part of a drop-in service. The role will be required to triage young people’s needs in order to signpost them to an appropriate service, either internally within the Youth Zone or to an external provider.
The service is commissioned by Cheshire & Merseyside NHS as part of ‘Warrington Place’ Starting Well plans to support ‘Children and Young Peoples Emotional and Mental Health & Wellbeing’. The project delivery is a partnership between Warrington Youth Zone and Merseycare ‘Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services’ (CAMHS).
What Success Will Look Like
To manage and ‘triage’ the needs of the young people requiring 1:1 support for their emotional health.
To provide a safe space where young people can talk openly about their mental health free from stigma and judgement.
To empower and encourage young people to access both internal and external support for their emotional health
To enable conversations through listening, helping young people to access support and information, and exploring effective ways of improving wellbeing.

THE ROLE
The Mental Health Team Leader for ‘Youth In Mind’ will support the Targeted Team in delivering an effective, structured wellbeing programme to children and young people from across Warrington.
You will be responsible for working on our Youth In Mind Mental Health programme, offering 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions to young people requiring a high level of support as part of a drop-in service. You will be required to triage young people’s needs in order to signpost them to an appropriate service, either internally within the Youth Zone or to an external provider.
You will assist the Mental Health Lead with the day-to-day running of the programme, support and quality assurance, support with the management of the delivery team and cover the Mental Health Lead in their absence.
This role requires you to take lead responsibility over the promotion of Youth In Mind and other mental health programmes run by Warrington Youth Zone,

We are seeking a number of dedicated and passionate Outreach and Detached Youth Workers to join our team at Warrington Youth Zone.
As an Outreach and Detached Youth Worker you will be responsible for engaging with young people in the community, providing support, guidance, and resources to help them navigate challenges and make positive choices.
We are looking to engage teams of 3 Youth Workers on daily basis to complete outreach work (detached from the youth zone centre) each evening around the Warrington area.
Detached Youth Workers will work 5-hour sessions from 4.00pm – 9.00pm. The outreach team will work on a rota according to availability’.

THE ROLE
The mental health administrator support is a vital role and will support the running of the mental health & wellbeing offering at Warrington Youth Zone.
You will be a key part of the mental health & wellbeing team who work with young people on a 1-2-1 and group basis helping to address the needs of the young people.
The role requires you to provide robust, accurate and timely administration support to the mental health lead to ensure the smooth running of the programme and administration process.

Seasonal Holiday Club Youth Activity Worker

THE ROLE
Warrington Youth Zone delivers a Holiday Club each school holiday throughout the year, and we are looking for dedicated and committed support staff. You will be part of a fantastic team working with around 80 young people aged 7 – 12 years old (Holiday Club) planning and delivering Holiday Club activities. Warrington Youth Zone has a host of fantastic facilities including a music room, gym, performing & creative arts studio plus a four-court sports hall, recreational area and outdoor space. We want young people during the holidays to have somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to all whilst having lots of FUN!
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering an exciting activity programme to young people in line with your skills and knowledge, whether that’s running a game of dodgeball in the sports hall or a dance in the performing arts studio to a visual arts or photography session.
We are a diverse staff team with a range of skills from sports coaching, creative arts, team building to cooking and much more.
Our Holiday Clubs run every day from 8am-6pm from the Youth Zone. There are a range of hours from part-time to full-time available during the school holidays.

THE ROLE
OnSide Warrington Youth Zone is aiming to recruit highly motivated, innovative people to the role of Aspire Support Worker (delivering personal care or none personal care). They will play a vital role working alongside the support staff and Aspire Club Team to provide disability holiday club provision in the Warrington area. Our programmes are focused on children and young people with additional needs aged 6-19.

Sports and outdoor pursuits, alongside the arts and youth work, is at the heart of Warrington Youth Zone’s offer to young people.
The sports and climbing offer will be wide ranging, and as a member of the sports team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme of adventurous activities that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental.
You will ensure the climbing wall is well used and maintained to a high standard by offering young people safe, exciting and challenging routes to climb in a friendly and welcoming environment.
You will provide supervision and advice to young people and support and guide members of Warrington Youth Zone’s staff and volunteers.
