THE ROLE

Warrington Youth Zone is looking for passionate and dedicated SEND youth workers to join our team. Our additional support service enables young people with additional needs and higher levels of support to access the activities, opportunities and experiences available at Warrington Youth Zone in a safe, inclusive and meaningful way.

As a SEND Youth Worker, you will work closely with young people, building trusting relationships and providing tailored support based on their needs, interests and goals. You will help young people participate in activities, develop independence, build confidence, interact with other peers and overall have a positive experience within our youth work setting.

The role may involve supporting young people with a range of additional needs and depending on individual requirements this may include personal care, feeding support and/or medication administration. Any appropriate training will be provided where required.

You will work as a part of our SEND team to ensure every young person has the opportunity to belong, participate and thrive at Warrington Youth Zone.

POST:  City and Guilds Functional Skills English Level 2 Tutor.  1 part-time position available

PAY: £14.00 per hour

LOCATION: Warrington Youth Zone, Dallam Lane, Warrington

REPORTING TO: Employability Co-Ordinator

CONTRACT: Initially 6-month Fixed Term commencing October 2026 based on the Targeted programme needs.  8 hours per week on one day within that week.

THE ROLE

As a City and Guilds Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering a curriculum in English to assist learners reach a qualification at Functional Skills Level 2.

Your primary goals will be to create lesson plans and deliver these to a group of up to 15 young people ensuring all learners participate and understand concepts and topics.  You will need to provide one to one support as required to young people struggling with any of these concepts or topics and ensure that learning plans are updated after each session.

Invigilation of assessments will also be a key part of this role along with adequate record keeping and the relevant quality control standards that go along with this role.

This role is 100% face-to-face delivery with young people, and you will work directly with young people to plan, lead and deliver safe, fun and structured climbing sessions within Warrington Youth Zone, which are progressive and reflect the needs of young people.

SALARY: Age related NMW

CONTRACT: Permanent: Part Time – hours of work can vary including evenings,
weekends and Bank Holidays

THE ROLE

As a charity, we depend heavily on the generosity of our Community, and collection boxes are a great way of gathering small donations from local venues and building relationships and awareness, which can lead to significant support over time. This role will require a confident and organised individual, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work from their own initiative with a proactive approach.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT TO BE DOING?

• Research into local businesses for collection box placements.
• Making contact with businesses to ask about placements.
• Use of our internal database to store and record information about box placements
• Have a basic understanding of charity law around collections and donations.
• Building positive relationships with local business owners.
• Manage the Youth Zones stock of collection aids.
• Regular contact with box placements to understand when they may need emptying or replacing.
• Stewardship, sending letters of thanks and certificates with donation amounts to vendors as required
• Cash handling and associated processes.
• Liaising with the Volunteer Driver about locations and details.

POST: Satellite Youth Club Co-ordinator

SALARY: £13.50 per hour

LOCATION: Satellite locations across Warrington

REPORTING TO: Outreach and Detached Manager

CONTRACT: Permanent, 20 hours per week

THE ROLE

Warrington Youth Zone has “Satellite” youth clubs within the community, offering a youth work provision for young people that is closer to home and easier for them to access. These are typically based within local community centres and do their best to offer everything that is available at the Youth Zone in the town centre.

The clubs offer a wide range of activities, from sports, games and challenges to arts, crafts and baking. As the coordinator of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme, making it a fun and safe environment for them to be themselves and explore skills.

The post holder will be responsible for the planning, resourcing and delivery of all youth work within WYZ’s satellite clubs. This will involve managing a small staff team too whilst on shift, who will deliver entirely face-to-face youth work.

POST: Support Team – Cleaner

SALARY: Age related National Minimum wage
