Youth Worker: H.A.F & Holiday Club

Job Title: Youth Worker: H.A.F & Holiday Club

Hours: Part and Full Time Roles available during school’s holidays.

Salary: £5.78 – £10.92 per hour dependant on age: WYZ pays National Minimum Wage plus 50p.

Location: Warrington Youth Zone, Dallam Lane (Holiday Club) or a satellite site across Warrington (H.A.F) typically local primary schools.

Warrington Youth Zone delivers a Holiday Club each school holiday throughout the year, and we are looking for dedicated and committed support staff. You will be part of a fantastic team working with around 80 young people aged 7 – 12 years old (Holiday Club) or aged 5 – 16 (H.A.F Club) planning and delivering Holiday Club activities. Warrington Youth Zone has a host of fantastic facilities including a music room, gym, performing & creative arts studio plus a four-court sports hall, recreational area and outdoor space. We want young people during the holidays to have somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to all whilst having lots of FUN! 

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering an exciting activity programme to young people in line with your skills and knowledge, whether that’s running game of dodge ball in the sports hall or a dance in the performing arts studio to a visual arts or photography session.  

We are a diverse staff team with a range of skills from sports coaching, creative arts, team building to cooking and much more.  

Our Holiday Club’s run every day from 8 AM to 6 PM from the Youth Zone and H.A.F from 9 AM – 1 PM & 2 PM – 6 PM delivered from satellite sites across Warrington.  There are range of hours from part time to full times available during the school holidays.

Job Title: Aspire Support Work (With Personal Care)

Hours: Part Time (fixed term for four weeks)

Salary: £5.12-£9.41 per hour age dependant. Plus personal care allowance.

Location: Fox Wood Primary school/Green Lane School

We are looking for creative and energetic individuals to inspire, engage and motivate young people through holiday club programmes. 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting and engaging young people in a youth work setting. They will have experience of working with young SEND young people to ensure the safe delivery of all sessions. 

The role will encompass a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities.  In return, you will receive a rewarding and challenging opportunity with a charity that is committed to the social and personal development of young people and work within a highly focussed team to contribute towards the growth of OnSide Warrington Youth Zone.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning; delivering and evaluating successful youth work activities and sessions.  They will have experience of managing, supporting and motivating teams of young people and working within a team environment to ensure the safe delivery of all sessions.

Job Title: Youth Worker: Indoor Climbing Wall Instructor

Hours: Permanent: Part time from 8 to 24 hours a week

Salary: £10-£10.45 per hour

Location: Warrington Youth Zone, Dallam Lane

Sports and outdoor pursuits, alongside the Arts and Youth Work, is at the heart of Warrington Youth Zone’s offer to young people.  The sports and climbing offer will be wide ranging and as a member of the Sports team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme of adventurous activities that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental.  You will ensure the climbing wall is well used and maintained to a high standard by offering young people safe, exciting and challenging routes to climb in a friendly and welcoming environment. You will provide supervision and advice to young people and support and guide members of Warrington Youth Zone’s staff and volunteers.

Job Title: Youth Worker: Multi Sports, Sport Hall and MUGA Pitch

Hours: Permanent: Part time from 8 to 24 hours a week

Salary: £5.31 - £10 per hour

Location: Warrington Youth Zone, Dallam Lane

To deliver an exciting programme of sports activities which will engage young people aged 8 – 19 years (up to 25 for those with additional needs). The sports offer at Warrington Youth Zone is wide ranging and as a member of the Sports Team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme of adventurous activities that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental. You will be involved in teaching the fundamentals of a single sport, or range of sports activities to young people, as well as facilitating taster sessions, competitions and challenges which build young people’s engagement, skills and fitness levels. You will coach and develop teams and support volunteer sports coaches. 

Within the Sports Team, we are looking for talented sports and fitness coaches to become part of a team with a wide range of skills, who are also passionate about working with young people. Ideally, you will have experience, or one or more level 2 specific coaching qualifications, from a National Governing Body.

Salary: £10.00 - £10.45 per hour

Location: Warrington Youth Zone, Dallam Lane

As a member of the creative arts team, you will be responsible for leading on the coaching and teaching of different dance forms and/or dance, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and creative programme that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental. You will be involved in teaching the fundamentals of a single or range of arts activities enabling young people to explore their creativity and grow their skills.

Within the arts team we are looking for a range of talented youth arts workers to make up a team with a diverse set of skills and expertise, who are also passionate about working with young people. Ideally, you will have experience delivering Dance and/or Dance.
