Easter HAF at Youth Zone made sweeter thanks to RAM Properties Limited

Over the two-week Easter school holidays, the Youth Zone welcomed over 400 Young People as part of the HAF programme, providing each Young Person with a meal, fruit and of course Easter treats.

Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) is a free holiday activity and enrichment programme which is funded by a grant to local authorities by the Department for Education based on the number of children eligible in that area. Alongside local schools, voluntary and community organisations as well as childcare providers, Warrington Youth Zone has delivered the HAF programme to eligible young people in Warrington over the Easter school holidays.

Alongside running the HAF programme in the Youth Zone building they also ran the programme in two primary schools across Warrington: St Barnabas Primary and Scared Heart Primary School. This ensured they reached a wider range of children and young people. During the programme their young people enjoyed activities such as baking, team sports, art, circus skills and crafts. As part of the offering each young person was provided with a healthy meal and snacks. With the ongoing cost of living crisis, this programme is needed more than ever to ensure that young people across the area have access to food they would normally access at school.

Knowing the great service the Youth Zone provides to the Young People of Warrington, Ram Properties Limited and their tenants wanted to make this Easter a little sweeter. Six of Ram Properties commercial office tenants, in Warrington Town Centre made donations of Easter Eggs for Children of the Youth Zone.

“As one of the Founder Patrons of the WYZ, RAM Properties wanted to ensure as many children as possible in and around Warrington had an egg to open on Easter Sunday, during these difficult times.  RAM would like to thank their tenants (too many to name) who have made donations to such a great cause and wish everyone a Happy Easter” Richard McLaughlin (Director)

Sophie Quote “We love the school holidays; it is what we are built for. Providing a fun and safe space for children to come – make new friends, try some new activities. Easter is such a special time of year for young people, and Easter Eggs are something that all children look forward to. Thank you RAM and all of your tenants for your incredible donation. We are so grateful.”
