A big thank you to Nicola Gorrill from AECOM, part of the Design Service Alliance, one of our incredible founder patrons, who recently joined us for a volunteering session at the Youth Zone.

From ascending the climbing wall to getting creative with hammer beads in the art room, Nic jumped straight in!

“I honestly had so much fun at the Youth Zone,” she said.

“There’s so much to get involved in. Whether that’s testing out the new bouldering route (with varying results!) or sitting chilling with some crafting, playing board games or sports, there’s something for everyone.

“The most rewarding part is getting chance to talk to the young people who use the services, getting to know them a little bit and swapping stories.

“I can’t wait to get the chance to come back, and I encourage everyone to reach out and get involved in volunteering. You won’t regret it!”
