Nathan-Jack interviewed by BBC Radio 5 Live

Last week, Nathan-Jack from our Warrington Youth Zone Buddy Up programme was invited to speak to Tony and Laura from BBC Radio 5 Live.

He was provided with such a warm welcome by the BBC Team, and was also given a tour of their amazing studios too.

NJ has been supported by our Buddy Up programme for just under 12 months.

For eight months, he benefited from some life-changing one-to-one support, provided by his wonderful Buddies Annie and Lucy.

Nathan-Jack, who is selective mute and also has autism, has found his voice through his incredible art, illustration, and animation skills.

A trip to Radio 5 Live gave Nathan-Jack the chance to share his journey and also discuss his determination to support other young people and adults with autism.

He hopes to create a better understanding of the condition too, and we are proud to support NJ and his many accomplishments to date.

Thank you to BBC Radio 5 Live for inviting Nathan-Jack along, and thank you to BBC Children In Need for supporting our Buddy Up programme.
