Take part in The £50 Challenge this October

Take part in The £50 Challenge this October!

Have you got the business savvy to grow a small fund of £50 to help us provide vital services for the young people and families of Warrington?

How it works

1. Create a team name and sign up to The £50 Challenge using our online campaign page

2. We will give each team £50 to invest and grow between from October – We ask you to commit to raising a minimum of £250 but we want you to be ambitious and aim for £1,000 or more!

3. If your team raises more than £1,000, you will make it onto our Big Shot Champions leaderboard. We will celebrate our ‘Big Shots’ during Global Entrepreneurship Week on November 18-24.

£1,000 could pay for a vibrant work experience programme for a disadvantaged young adult, providing them with Employability Training and supported introduction to the world of work

How to become a ‘Big Shot Champion’

The best way to maximise your success is to reinvest multiple times. Here is an example of how it could work:

  • Host an Afternoon Tea Party to make £50 into £250 Buy the ingredients to make cakes and serve hot drinks. Encourage all the Mary Berry’s of the office to bake their specialities but you can also buy goodies from the supermarket. To add a sense of occasion, borrow some tablecloths and a cake stand.
  • Quiz night (£250 can become £1,000) – Select a Quiz Master, buy refreshments and some nibbles. Ask businesses for free or cheap gifts for a raffle or prize draw. Charge £10 to enter and £10 for some food and drinks vouchers.
  • Your company can help you double your fundraising (£1,000 can become £2,000)Ask your employer for match funding. We can supply you with a short proposal.

There are endless ways of raising money. You could climb a mountain, run a tuck shop, or simply not buy that daily coffee. Whatever it takes to raise as much as you can! Check out our A to Z of fundraising for more ideas.

Reigning champions

Our current Big Shot Champion is EE, who raised over £7,050 in last £50 Challenge!

What you can’t do

  • Nothing illegal
  • Profit for personal gain – All proceeds must go to Warrington Youth Zone

If unsure, get in touch – we are happy to help!

What we can give you to help

  • Letter of authority to prove you are supporting Warrington Youth Zone (this can help you get raffle prizes)
  • Marketing packs
  • Support and promotion on social media
  • Collection buckets/tins
  • We can come and talk to your team to help you get started
