Ted Todd pledges to support Warrington Youth Zone

Ted Todd, the UK’s leading luxury wooden floor specialists, has shown its generous support for Warrington’s young people by becoming a Founder Patron of Warrington Youth Zone.

Based locally in Cheshire, the company was founded in 1993 by Robert Walsh. Robert has always lived in the area and is keen to develop new talent by supporting the next generation.

Currently under construction, Warrington’s new multimillion-pound Youth Zone, will build on the legacy of the existing Warrington Youth Club. Once open, the charity will offer young people somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to, 7 days a week.

For just £5 a year membership, and 50p per visit, young people aged between seven and 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, will have access over 20 activities per visit, ranging from sports such as football, basketball, indoor climbing and boxing, to arts, music, drama, dance and enterprise and employability opportunities.

Set to open in Spring 2022, Warrington Youth Zone is being developed by the national charity OnSide and will join the successful network of similar centres developed across the country.

Ted Todd Founder Robert Walsh said: “Warrington Youth Zone will make a real difference in the community and we are proud to be supporting a local charity which will improve the lives of so many local young people for years to come. We’d like to encourage others to come forward and support this worthwhile charity.”

Founder Patrons are a special group of people and businesses with a vested interest in Warrington who will come together to support the Youth Zone. Each member of Warrington Youth Zone’s Founder Patron family pledges a long-term financial commitment, helping the Youth Zone to build strong foundations within the town.

Dave McNicholl, Chief Executive of Warrington Youth Zone said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ted Todd to our ever-growing family of Founder Patrons. The support of local businesses and people who are connected to the area and want to invest in Warrington’s young people is essential. We are grateful to Ted Todd for pledging their generous support.”

Warrington Youth Zone is actively seeking to bring together like-minded individuals and organisations who are willing to support its vision to help improve the lives of thousands of young people.
