Earlier this month, a group of young people from Warrington Youth Zone’s home education community were given a unique opportunity to explore the world of work during an exclusive visit to First Recruitment Group’s offices.
The visit provided an inspiring glimpse behind the scenes at the company’s dynamic workspaces and their impressive recreation and wellness areas.
Beth, Mark and Emma from First Recruitment Group warmly welcomed the young people, taking time to share their personal journeys into the recruitment industry.
They spoke candidly about their early career choices, the skills that helped them succeed, and the paths that led them to their current roles.
Their insight offered invaluable guidance for young people exploring career options for the first time.
Following the tour, the wider First Recruitment Group team delivered an engaging confidence-building workshop focused on helping young people take their first steps into employment.
The session covered goal setting, recognising personal strengths and understanding what employers look for when hiring. The young people even began creating their first CVs.
First Recruitment Group officially came on board as an impact patron of Warrington Youth Zone for 2025, providing not only generous financial support but also meaningful in-kind contributions, including volunteering and employability projects such as this visit.
The young attendees were part of Warrington Youth Zone’s exclusive home education session, which runs every Friday.
Caroline Weir, education manager at Warrington Youth Zone, said: “Home education is amazing, which is why we’re running our session here at the Youth Zone.
“This opportunity for the young people was brilliant, and something they would normally not get to benefit from. I’m so pleased that we work with companies like First Recruitment Group that can open up opportunities for our young people.”
Beth Thorpe, people and culture manager at First Recruitment Group, added: “At First Recruitment Group, we believe in making a positive impact beyond the workplace.
“Working with Warrington Youth Zone gives us the chance to support and empower young people at a crucial stage in their development.
“Seeing their confidence grow and their curiosity sparked is exactly why partnerships like this matter, and we’re proud to play a small part in helping them shape brighter futures.”
