Outreach and Detached Manager
Job Title: Outreach and Detached Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, school holidays

THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Warrington Youth Zone to join the team as Outreach and Detached Manager.
Working alongside our Head of Youth Work and other Youth Work Managers, you will lead the delivery and development of high-quality Outreach and detached youth work. This means that you will be engaging young people where they are – on the streets, in their communities and across various Satellite Centres.
You will manage and inspire a team of youth workers to build trusted relationships with young people, particularly those who are vulnerable or less likely to access our centre on Dallam Lane.
Through strong partnerships and a visible community presence, you will ensure our outreach and detached offer is impactful, inclusive and responds to local needs.
SALARY: £29,000 – £36,000 (depending on experience)
LOCATION:
Warrington (Dallam Lane) is the main base. Due to the nature of the role, there will be regular travel to Community based locations including Satellite and Community based.
REPORTING TO: Head of Youth Work
CONTRACT: 40hrs Full-time. Including evenings, weekends and school holidays

Satellite Club Youth Worker
Warrington Youth Zone has “Satellite” youth clubs within the community, offering a youth work provision for young people that is closer to home and easier for them to access. These are typically based within local community centres and they do their best to offer everything that is available at the Youth Zone in the town centre.
The clubs offer a wide range of activities, from sports, games and challenges to arts, crafts and baking. As a member of the team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme, making it a fun and safe environment for them to be themselves and explore skills.
The post holder will be responsible for creating a lively, dynamic, creative and fun-loving environment for all young people, whilst also creating space for young people to explore and discuss some of the big issues of the day.
HOURS:
We are recruiting 2 Youth Workers to work on a Friday evening from 4.30p.m. – 8.30p.m. (transport to and from the satellite venue is available from Warrington Youth Zone.)
CONTRACT:
These are fixed term positions available until 31st August 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- • Deliver outreach activities to connect with young people in various community settings, that are exciting, safe, varied, innovative, developmental and directly responds to the diverse needs, concerns and interests of the young people.
- • Build relationships with at-risk youth and provide individualised support to address and support their needs.
• Organise and facilitate group activities, workshops and events to promote positive youth engagements with the most hard to reach young people of Warrington.

Springboard is a programme for young people with additional needs or who need a little extra support to access Warrington Youth Zone.

Volunteer Collection Box Coordinator/Driver

THE ROLE
As a charity, we depend heavily on the generosity of our Community, and collection boxes are a great way of gathering small donations from local venues and building relationships and awareness, which can lead to significant support over time. This role will require a confident and organised individual, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work from their own initiative with a proactive approach.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT TO BE DOING?
• Research into local businesses for collection box placements.
• Making contact with businesses to ask about placements.
• Use of our internal database to store and record information about box placements
• Have a basic understanding of charity law around collections and donations.
• Building positive relationships with local business owners.
• Manage the Youth Zones stock of collection aids.
• Regular contact with box placements to understand when they may need emptying or replacing.
• Stewardship, sending letters of thanks and certificates with donation amounts to vendors as required
• Cash handling and associated processes.
• Liaising with the Volunteer Driver about locations and details.

The Arts, alongside sport and Youth Work, is at the heart of Warrington’s offer to young people.
The Arts offer is wide-ranging and includes visual arts, music, media, dance and drama. As a member of the Creative Arts Team, leading on the coaching and teaching of music, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and creative music programme that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental.
You will be involved in teaching the fundamentals of a single, or a range of music activities, enabling young people to explore their creativity and grow their skills.
Within the Arts team, we are looking for a range of talented youth arts workers to make up a team with a diverse set of skills and expertise, who are also passionate about working with young people. Ideally, you will have experience delivering one or more of the following music arts: Teaching and playing instruments (drums, guitar, piano, more), Music Production and Vocal coaching.

Holiday Club Youth Worker

THE ROLE
Warrington Youth Zone delivers a Holiday Club during every school holiday throughout the year, and we are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic support staff to join our team.
You will be part of a fantastic staff team supporting children aged range 5–12 years old, helping to plan and deliver fun, engaging, and inclusive Holiday Club activities.
Our Youth Zone offers a wide range of excellent facilities, including a music room, gym, performing and creative arts studio, four-court sports hall, recreational areas, and outdoor spaces.
We want every young person attending during the holidays to have somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to all while ensuring children are having a great time.
As a member of the team, you will help deliver an exciting programme of activities based on your skills and interests. This could include leading games in the sports hall, running dance sessions in the performing arts studio, supporting arts and crafts, photography, cooking, team-building activities, and much more.
We have a diverse and supportive staff team with experience across sports coaching, creative arts, youth work, cooking, and outdoor activities.
Our Holiday Club runs daily from 8:00am to 6:00pm during the school holidays, with both part-time and full-time hours available. Typical shifts options are usually:
7:45am – 4:15pm – 9:30am – 2:30pm – 9:30am – 6:00pm

HAF Holiday Club Worker
Job Title: HAF Holiday Club Worker
Hours: Part time during school holidays

Location: Warrington Youth Zone, Dallam Lane (Holiday Club) or a satellite site across Warrington (HAF) - local primary schools.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a HAF Holiday Club Staff member, you will support the delivery of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme within a school setting from 10:00am – 2:00pm during school holidays. The role involves creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children and young people attending the programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and engaging children in a range of activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts, and group sessions.
- Supporting the delivery of healthy meals and snack times.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children by following safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and participation from all attendees.
- Assisting with setting up and tidying away equipment and activity spaces.
- Working as part of a team to provide a fun, welcoming, and supportive holiday experience.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and confident working with children in a school or community environment.
Experience working with young people, teamwork skills, and a positive attitude are desirable.
