Outreach Co-ordinator
Job Title: Outreach Co-ordinator
Hours: 40 hours per week; Fixed term contract until March 2026
Salary: £25,500 - £28,000
Location: Warrington Youth Zone
THE ROLE
We are seeking to recruit a passionate Outreach and Detached Youth Work Coordinator to join our team of Leads at Warrington Youth Zone.
As the Outreach and Detached Coordinator, you will be responsible for engaging with young people in the community, providing support, guidance and resources to help them navigate challenges and make positive choices. This will also involve the line management of the team who deliver on the programme.
We are looking to engage teams of 3 Youth Workers on a daily basis to complete outreach work (detached from the Youth Zone Centre) each evening around the Warrington area.
Detached Youth Workers will work 5-hour sessions from 4:30pm – 9:30pm (3:00pm – 8:00pm Saturdays).
The Outreach team will work on a rota according to availability.

Volunteer Co-ordinator
Job Title: Volunteer Co-ordinator
Hours: Fixed term 18 months till June 2026; 40 hours per week
Salary: £25,500 - £29,000 (consummate with experience)
Location: Warrington Youth Zone
THE ROLE
The Volunteer Coordinator holds overall responsibility for the Youth Zone’s volunteer strategy for universal & open access provision including recruiting, training, and supporting them to work alongside & be managed by the staff team. You will be responsible for the recruitment & retention of volunteers as well as training & support for the team to best manage and value volunteers.
This role will be integral in supporting our corporate volunteers, to enlist support from our business partners and stakeholders alike.
WHAT SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE
The successful candidate, in the first 12 months, will have:
• Collaborated with the delivery & operational team to ensure volunteer opportunities are identified and created.
• Maintained the clear volunteer pathway from expression of interest to becoming an established member of the team.
• Further developed the ‘culture of volunteering’ and ensured the critical role of volunteers is understood and valued across the whole organisation.
• Supported each member of the operation & delivery team to line managers between 2-4 volunteers each, providing between 6 and 30 hours of volunteering a week.
• Further developed a reward and recognition scheme that supports 70% of all volunteers to be active for 4 months or longer.
As a network, we support other Youth Zones, and this role will provide support in the form of developing applications to Grant-making Trusts for the Youth Zone in Barnsley, due to open in Autumn 2025, and the Youth Zone to open in Crewe in 2026.

Sports Co-ordinator
Job Title: Sports Co-ordinator
Hours: Fixed term contract until March 2026; 40 hours per week – some evening and weekend work required
Salary: £25,500 to £28,000 (dependent upon experience)
Location: Warrington Youth Zone
THE ROLE
We are seeking a full-time Sports Coordinator to deliver an exciting programme of sports activities which will engage young people aged 7 – 19 years (up to 25 years with additional needs) at Warrington Youth Zone.
To provide direct line management support, coaching and development for sports sessional workers and volunteers to ensure young people receive a high-quality service. To oversee the climbing wall, boxing gym, fitness suite, sports hall and 3G pitch. To utilise sport in the wider youth work agenda, supporting and encouraging young people to express themselves, explore issues and facilitate personal development.

Volunteer Collection Box Coordinator/Driver
Job Title: Volunteer Collection Box Coordinator/Driver
Hours: Suggested time commitment - 8 hours per week
Salary: Volunteer role
Location: Warrington Youth Zone
THE ROLE
As a charity, we depend heavily on the generosity of our Community, and collection boxes are a great way of gathering small donations from local venues and building relationships and awareness, which can lead to significant support over time. This role will require a confident and organised individual, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work from their own initiative with a proactive approach.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT TO BE DOING?
• Research into local businesses for collection box placements.
• Making contact with businesses to ask about placements.
• Use of our internal database to store and record information about box placements
• Have a basic understanding of charity law around collections and donations.
• Building positive relationships with local business owners.
• Manage the Youth Zones stock of collection aids.
• Regular contact with box placements to understand when they may need emptying or replacing.
• Stewardship, sending letters of thanks and certificates with donation amounts to vendors as required
• Cash handling and associated processes.
• Liaising with the Volunteer Driver about locations and details.
